Looking for a Solution for Every Day Audio Recording?
I've been doing voiceover work for almost a decade now, and for that I use some pretty high-end microphones. But sometimes I need to record audio and/or do an over-the-shoulder video and don't really need to have my top-shelf microphone in the mix.
Sometimes using a headset is easier and more practical. And for a few years now I've switched between an old Microsoft headset and a Logitech headset for this type of work.
But I've found them to be less than stellar. They both get uncomfortable to wear pretty quickly and the sound quality leaves something to be desired.
Introducing the Mpow 071 USB Headset
I'm not quite sure where I first heard about this headset, but after checking it out on Amazon, I figured I'd give it a try. It cost me $32.99 with free Prime Shipping and I got it a day after I ordered it.
And while I really had no expectations, I was pleasantly surprised with how good this headset performs.
It's comfortable to wear and it actually produces some pretty good audio quality. And while I would probably never use it to create my voiceovers, it's definitely up to the task of creating presentations and tutorial videos.
And it also has some noise cancellation properties, so that helps get some pretty good sounding audio. I created my review video in the same room as my daughter who was getting her dinner while listening to her tv show, and while you do hear the sound in the background, my voice comes across over that noise pretty well and it does sound clear and distinct.
So I do RECOMMEND the Mpow 071 USB Headset for you regular daily audio recording needs.
